What is Ross Tomaselli known for?

Ross Tomaselli, born on January 9, 1992, in Wilmington, North Carolina, is a former American soccer player known for his significant contributions on the field. He built his early career playing college soccer at Wake Forest University between 2010 and 2013.

Despite not being picked in the 2014 MLS SuperDraft, Tomaselli didn't allow this to deter him. He signed with his hometown club, the Wilmington Hammerheads of the USL Pro, where he made 32 appearances between 2014-2015. After two fruitful seasons with the Hammerheads, Tomaselli moved on to join the newly formed FC Cincinnati side in their inaugural 2016 season, where he made 19 appearances.

After his professional soccer career, Tomaselli transitioned into a new role as a Media Developer with Morvil Advertising + Design Group, based in his hometown of Wilmington. Beyond his professional pursuits, he has made considerable efforts in advocacy work, raising awareness for cancer. He notably ran in the 2018 New York City Marathon, contributing to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center's cause.

Off the field, Tomaselli has expressed support for actions promoting social justice, such as the national anthem kneeling initiated by Colin Kaepernick. A fascinating individual on and off the pitch, Tomaselli's journey showcases his dedication to soccer, media development, and social advocacy.
