George H. Jons Jr.
Class of 1981
Army, 20+ Years
George enlisted in 1982 and served until 1992 as a military intelligence specialist. He served in Desert Shield/Desert Storm with the 5th Special Forces group. In 1992 George attended Officer Candidate School (OCS). He was designated as an Armor Officer for 4 years and then returned to Military Intelligence. He served in Japan, North Carolina, Kentucky, Texas, Italy and Germany. He retired as a Captain 1 November 2002. He currently teaches high school JROTC in North Richland Hills, Texas.
