About	John Robert “Robbie” Porter age 54, former New Castle resident, residing in Lafayette, Louisiana, passed away May 21, 2008 in Lafayette. His death was unexpected. He was born December 21, 1953 in New Castle, IN., a son of John and Wanda Taylor Porter. He was a 1972 graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School and received a degree from Mt. Vernon College in Ohio and also received a nursing degree from a college in Maryland. He worked as a registered psychiatric nurse in several hospitals in Maryland and Louisiana. He had resided in Indiana, Maryland and Louisiana most of his life. He was a member of the Nazarene church. He is survived by: three children; Jennifer Jo Davis of New Castle, IN., Heather Condrey of New Castle, IN., Sean Porter of Delmar Maryland, three grandchildren; Katelynne Davis of New Castle, IN., Nicolas Davis of New Castle, IN., Haile Davis of New Castle, IN., one brother Jimmy Porter (wife: Ruth) of Anderson, IN., grandmother; Lillian Porter of New Castle, IN., several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by: his parents, one sister; Cindy Godby, grandfather; Raymond Porter, grandparents; James and Verna Taylor. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday June 14th at Macer-Hall Funeral Home with the Rev. Brett Rains officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral at Macer-Hall Funeral Home. The family will host a reception at Memorial Park after the funeral on Saturday. The shelter location of the reception will be announced at the funeral on Saturday.
