About | Steven Taylor Seibold, a true Texan, passed away peacefully at his home in Blanco, Texas, on March 7, 2024, surrounded by family after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Steven was born in Wichita Falls, Texas, on April 28, 1960. He was the second of three sons born to Joe T. and Elaine W. Seibold. He attended Wichita Falls public schools until his family moved to New Braunfels in 1972 at the age of 12. He immediately fell in love with New Braunfels, the rivers and especially the many friends he made over the years. Steven was a rancher and craftsman by trade, but a father, grandfather, son and friend by heart. He loved the outdoors and anything to do with livestock, his vintage Century boat, hunting to include feral hogs which he turned into a weekend business that catered to people from all over the United States, fishing and snow skiing. Steven married the love of his life, Christy Steubing, on February 1, 2001, in Blanco, Texas. Theirs was a loving relationship which spilled over to the entire Steubing family who welcomed Steven as one of their own. Steven is preceded in death by his grandparents Dr. George and Gertrude Seibold, William Pete and Louise Wyatt, and Wilton "Opi" and Helen "Omi" Steubing. He is survived by his wife Christy Seibold, parents Joe T. and Elaine W. Seibold, Pam and Ronnie Steubing, daughters Christa L. Pool (Eddie), Jenna T. Springfield (Justin) and their mother Carrie Winkler Smith, brothers Clay and John Seibold, James Steubing (Stephanie), Walker Steubing (Crystalyn), Amber Rakowitz (Paul), grandchildren Carlos "Tank" De La Garza, Henry Springfield, Hunter De La Garza, Jarrett Springfield, Mason Springfield, Hawk and Haegen De La Garza, Christian Pool and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 29, 2024, at Porter Loring Mortuary North. There will be a memorial service at Porter Loring Mortuary North in San Antonio on Friday, March 29, 2024, at 1:00 PM. A private burial at the Classen Family Cemetery will follow the service. We invite friends and family to celebrate Steven at his last "Fair-well" Party to be held on Friday, March 29,2024 at 5pm at Cypress Bend Park Pavilion. Memorials may be made to Our Hospice House in Temple, Texas or the Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA) Disaster Relief Fund.
