About Me | "One cannot give something away that he does not possess. In order to bring peace to others, one must first make peace with himself. When one is at peace with himself, others sense that peace and want to share in it." Bryan Coleman I have been a poet, a student, a teacher, a lawyer, a political activist, a Sunday School teacher, a politician, a husband, a civic leader, a military officer, an advocate for veterans, an officer of many kinds of organizations, a mediator, an arbitrator, an employer, an employee, a lover, a friend, and a wretched, self-centered, spoiled, and ungrateful sinner. I have little time to dedicate to people who like to play games, and I have no patience for dishonesty. I will not judge you, and hope you will not judge me. I believe that what you give away comes back in multiples, although it is not always in our time. I love children and animals, but adults have sometimes disappointed me. I talk far too much, tell everyone exactly what I think, have no secrets, have little political correctness and have little patience with people who cannot identify their feelings and communicate those feelings effectively. I believe that every person has wounds that will never heal, weaknesses that cause pain when exploited, and secrets that we would prefer to never reveal; but we can recover from anything in an environment that is non-judgmental and safe. That is where I want to live. We all need a hug every day, to be reminded that we are worthy of love. Many people project an image that is untrue, and trust should be given slowly.
