About	Photos is of Judy at the 35th Class Reunion November 2010. Judith M. (Joseph) Vilela, age 55, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2012 at St. Luke's Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Antonio S. Vilela. Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Jules and Constance (Jardin) Joseph, she resided in Acushnet . Judith was a graduate of New Bedford High School Class of 1975. She worked as a Health Unit Coordinator at St Luke's Hospital for 25 years. Her joy was spending time with her children; she had a passion for jewelry, gardening and her dog Zoe. Survivors in addition to her husband are her children Nicole and Kevin Vilela of Acushnet; a sister, Joyce Soares of New Bedford; 3 nephews, Kenneth Shepherd of Rindge, NH; Billy Soares of Dartmouth; Manuel Vilela of Tacoma, WA; a niece, Adriana Julian of Tacoma, WA, her brother-in-law, Manuel Vilela and his wife Rosa of Tacoma, WA; and a God Son, Julian Amaral of Dartmouth. Her funeral will be held Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 8 am at Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford, followed by a funeral mass to be celebrated at 9 am at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, 136 Earle Street, New Bedford. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 4-8pm. Burial in River-side Cemetery. The Family would like to thank the staff at St. Luke's Hospital for their loving and devoted care of Judith.
