About	TIBURON, CALIFORNIA – Melissa Grace Crompton, C.P.C.U., 53, died unexpectedly Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at home. Born and raised in New Bedford, she was the daughter of Natalie R. (Bennett) Crompton of New Bedford and the late William H. Crompton. Melissa was a graduate of New Bedford High School and Randolph Macon College in Lynchburg, VA. She started her career in the insurance business at Liberty Mutual in Boston and settled in as a director at the Fireman’s Fund in Novato, California, about eight years ago. Melissa loved photography and traveling, especially taking trips to Hawaii where she had gone with her mother several times. She is surived by her mother; a sister, Beverly Crompton-Hill of Virginia Beach, VA; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
