About	NEW BEDFORD — Carl F. Senna, 54, of New Bedford, died Monday, April 15, 2103 unexpectedly at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the son of Anna “Minnie” (Santos) Senna and the late Joao Senna. NEW BEDFORD — Carl F. Senna, 54, of New Bedford, died Monday, April 15, 2103 unexpectedly at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the son of Anna “Minnie” (Santos) Senna and the late Joao Senna. Born in New Bedford, he was a lifelong resident and a parishioner of Our Lady Of The Assumption Church. Carl was employed as a correctional officer at Bridgewater Correctional Complex until retiring in January. He was a member of the Knights Of Columbus, Council 151 and a longtime member of the New Bedford Y.M.C.A. His family includes his mother, Anna “Minnie” (Santos) Senna of New Bedford; 4 sisters, Jo-Ann Roderiques and her husband, Clarence “Bubba” Roderiques, Virginia Senna-Davis, Corinne Senna and Faith Silva and her husband, Alfred “Sonny” Silva, all of New Bedford; his God-parents, Kenneth Offley, Sr. of New Bedford and the late Josepha “Pinha” Silva; his God-children, Chauney Stevens of No. Carolina and Marcel DePina; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. His funeral will be conducted Saturday morning 8:00 at the funeral home with a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated in Our Lady Of The Assumption Church at 9:00. Interment in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours in the funeral home Friday evening 4:00-8:00. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carl’s memory to Our Lady Of The Assumption Church, 47 So. Sixth St., New Bedford, MA 02740.
