NEW BEDFORD - Pauline M.
(Poitras) Languirand, 44, of New
Bedford died Thursday, July 12, 2001,
at the residence of her brother, Paul,
after a brief illness. She was the wife
of Charles Languirand.
Born in Acushnet, the daughter of
Therese and the late Marcelle Poitras,
she was a resident of New Bedford for
most of her life.
She was a communicant of the
Church of the Holy Name of the
Sacred Heart of Jesus and worked at
the Polaski School in New Bedford as
an aide until her retirement. Mrs.
Languirand was a member of St.
Anne's Sodality and was a Scout mas-
ter for the Boy Scouts of America.
She was a Youth 2000 adult leader
and taught CCD at the Sacred Heart
Church. She graduated from New
Bedford High School in 1976 and
attended Bristol Community College.
She was a part of the Together In
Christ Youth Group and was an avid
camper.

a.m. Tuesday from the Chausse-

Acushnet Ave. Her funeral Mass will
be at 9 a.m. in the Church of the Holy
Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
Interment will be in Sacred Heart
