About	NEW BEDFORD — Deborah A. (Jesus) Lannan, 50, of New Bedford, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 3, 2009, at St. Luke’s Hospital, after a courageous battle with colon cancer. She was the wife of Patrick J. Lannan, married 31 years and daughter of Joseph and Nancy (Machado) Jesus, of New Bedford. NEW BEDFORD — Deborah A. (Jesus) Lannan, 50, of New Bedford, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 3, 2009, at St. Luke’s Hospital, after a courageous battle with colon cancer. She was the wife of Patrick J. Lannan, married 31 years and daughter of Joseph and Nancy (Machado) Jesus, of New Bedford. She was a lifelong resident of New Bedford and graduated from New Bedford High School and Bristol Community College where she obtained her nursing degree. She founded the Lactation Program at both St. Luke’s and Morton Hospitals, where she worked as a lactation consultant until her illness. She was also a member of the International Board of Lactation Consultants. She loved traveling and being with her family. In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by her two daughters Jennifer Murphy and her husband John of New Bedford and Ashley Fenwick & her husband Kenneth of Jacksonville, NC; her niece Dawn Mahler and her husband Brian of Braintree. She was the sister of the late Valerie Wilson. Visitation will be Tuesday evening 4-8 PM at Rock Funeral Home. Her funeral services will be in the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:15 AM followed by interment at Pine Grove Cemetery.
