About	Randy Heys, 59, of East Bradenton, Florida, formerly of New Bedford, passed away unexpectedly Monday, May 30, 2016. Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Eva (Lucas) Heys, he had resided in New Bedford for most of his life before moving to Florida 2 years ago. He served in the United States Navy. Mr. Heys had worked as a Fireman Engineer at Precix Inc. in New Bedford for several years. Randy enjoyed riding his motorcycle, jet skiing, driving his sports car and loved the New York Yankees and the New York Giants. Anyone who knew Randy would say he had such a big heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a great comfort and support to those in the AA program. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. His family includes two sisters, Debra Walecka and her husband Kenneth of Acushnet and Donna Abaray and her husband Blaine of Fairhaven; a nephew, Blaine Abaray, Jr. and his wife Laura of Plainville; and a niece, Jocelyn Abaray and her companion Kevin Martins of Acushnet.
