Blais, Sr. and daughter of the late Curtis Joe Choat and Teresa (Francis) Choat. Mary was born in New Bedford and was a devoted homemaker. Her family includes her son, Michael J. Blais, Jr.; a brother, Curtis Choat; 2 sisters, Catherine Lamb and Jo-Ann Bassett; 2 granddaughters, Aaliyah and Ashley; nieces and nephews.
