About Cynthia A. Connor

New Bedford - Cynthia A. (Gaspar) Connor, 63, of New Bedford passed away Monday March 22, 2021. She was the wife of Timothy J. Connor.

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Fernando A. and Leontine (Nicolau) Gaspar, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.

Cindy was a graduate of New Bedford High School and Bridgewater State College. After graduation, she was employed as a school teacher in Dartmouth and Acushnet before becoming a fulltime mother. She later returned to the workforce at Gaspar Sausage Company, where she took great pride working for her family's business.

She was a dedicated mother who treasured her daughters and embraced every moment with them. She loved playing Bingo and going to casinos. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, always laughing, dancing, and having a good time.

She is survived by her husband, Tim; her daughters, Jillian Connor and Brianne Enos and her husband Mike; her siblings, Barbara Lynch, Robert Gaspar and his wife Christine, and Linda Charbonneau and her husband Wayne; and several nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday March 26, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Thursday March 25, 2021 from 4-7 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. For online condolence book, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, you must wear a mask, practice social distancing, and avoid any close contact. Guests will be permitted to pay their respects and depart to allow the next guests to enter. Capacity at the funeral home will be limited so there could be wait times outside the funeral home.
