HYANNIS -- Mark F. Janik, 45, of New Bedford died Sunday, Aug. 15, 2004, at the Cape Cod Hospital.
Born in New Bedford, he was the son of Francis J. and Dorothy C. (Labonte) Janik of Acushnet.
He was raised in Acushnet, and also lived in Florida, then returned to live in New Bedford seven years ago.
Mr. Janik graduated from New Bedford High School. In his leisure time he enjoyed gardening and traveling.
Survivors include his parents; his dear friend, Ted Diggle of Cape Cod; two sisters, Cathi Martin of Acushnet, and Michele Desrosiers and her husband, Michael, of Acushnet; three nephews, Shane Martin, Mathew Desrosiers, and Ian Desrosiers, all of Acushnet; and one niece, Paige Desrosiers of Acushnet.
In accordance with his wishes he will be cremated. His funeral Service will be at 930 a.m. Saturday at the First Church of the Nazarene.
Arrangements are by Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd.
