New Bedford - Ronald Medeiros, age 73 years, died Sunday August 1, 2010 at St. Luke’s Hospital. Mr. Medeiros was the father of Lisa Medeiros John of Lynnfield, MA. and grandfather of Nathaniel John. He is also survived by his former wife: Joyce Gilson of Dartmouth, his aunt and several cousins.
Mr. Medeiros was the son of the late Albert Medeiros and Theresa (Germano) DeSilva. Ronald was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all of his life. Mr. Medeiros was a teacher at New Bedford High School until his retirement.
Mr. Medeiros’ funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St., Thursday at 8 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial with ashes present to be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting Hours are Wednesday evening from 5 – 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, Ma. 01701
