About	DARTMOUTH — Elaine R. (Moore) Santos, 59, of Dartmouth passed away Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Massachusetts General Hospital after a brief courageous battle with leukemia. She was the wife of August M. “Gus” Santos. Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Thomas S. and Mary (Morgan) Moore, she lived in Dartmouth for the last 30 years. She was a member of St. Martin’s Episcopal Church. Mrs. Santos was employed as a fifth grade teacher at the Alfred J. Gomes School in New Bedford. She was also a family nurse practitioner with Sturdy Medical Associates, with Dr. Steven Frank in Rehoboth, and at Sturdy Memorial Urgent Care in South Attleboro. She enjoyed playing the piano, singing, and sharing her love of music with others. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Maureen E. Huberman and her husband Matthew of Middleboro and Lauren A. Santos of Dartmouth; a sister, Sharon E. Scoggins and her husband Shannon of Largo, FL; two nieces, Lori Lee Cabral and her husband Rick and Lynne Molinary; a great-nephew, Joe Cabral; as well as several other nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 10 AM at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church. Burial in Rural Cemetery will be private. Visiting hours will be on Monday September 10, 2018 from 4-8 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
