About Me Oh, wow. There isn't enough space here to tell you the whole story, so I'll do a condensed version. My son, Bobby, is the light of my life. There have been times, like when my Mom died, that the only reason I kept breathing was because of him. He's an amazing, beautiful, talented, frustrating, stubborn, creative, loving, thoughtful man and I'm so blessed to have him in my life. I have a diluted (not deluded) calico cat named Scout (after the little girl in "To Kill a Mockingbird"). She is 7 years old and is the color of warm milk, caramel and a stormy sky. She calls me "Mama". No, really, she does. If I'm behind a closed door and she wants in, she says "Mama," plain as day. Now that my son has flown the coop, she is my best buddy. We enjoy watching movies and listening to music. Originally born in Indiana and raised in Michigan and southern Indiana. Moved to Louisville in 1982 and now it's my "hometown". I live in the southeast part of town, moving from The Highlands in 2012. It's quiet where I live, and my brother is just a few minutes away. It's an adventure getting to know this part of town. I've loved truly and deeply only two men in my whole life. The others were just false alarms. Ha! After years and years of doing stand-up training, my body said "Enough!" and gave me degenerative disk disease as well as arthritis and osteoarthritis. So, in 2010, Humana "let me go". I miss working and interacting with people. I hope to someday be well enough to get off disability and back to work! *I believe that we are on this earth as spirits having the human experience. *I believe that happiness is a choice. *I believe that contentment is better than drama. *I believe a bad day can be turned around by a good laugh. *I believe that if things aren't right in our lives, the first place we need to look is within ourselves. *I believe that talking on your cellphone while driving is a stupid and dangerous thing to do. *I believe that we should greet our friends and family with a hug and a kiss...and say goodbye the same way. I like making jewelry (look at the photos!) as well as reading and watching a good movie. I also enjoy writing and spend...(read more)
