About Me	I Lived several summers in Germany, being able to travel all over Europe from there. I married a Texan who later became a High School American Lit. teacher, getting his Master's Degree in English. We moved to Boston for a year, and have been in Texas for 19 years. I've continued singing and have been a part of several musicals, programs, and CD projects in DFW over the last 18 years. Since we have always homeschooled, we've been able to take an art/History trip to stay with friends in Italy, and humanitarian trips to Mexico (The Yucatán). Our oldest son, now a graduate, and I have had our photography in a local Art Gallery from one of the Mexico trips, where the president of Izamal, Yucatán honored us by coming here to open the exhibit, which was largely in honor of his people. I was one of four people nominate to be Texas State HomeSchool Leader of the year several years ago, and received other awards from the Texas HomeSchool Coalition. I've written programs for and mentored new homeschoolers for years, even though I recently retired from fulltime leadership. I took several years of classes with master bookbinders in Dallas to learn vintage book restoration and hand bookbinding. I have made several specially bound hardback books for local families.
