Navy, 6 Years Navy Corpsman for VFA 137 and VFA 125 stationed in Lemoore,CA. Athan died 8/16/08 while in Alaska during a training for VFA 125.

Army, 20+ Years 9 years 111th Engineer Battalion 36th Inf. Div. Spent 12 years US Army aviation as a helicopter pilot. One year in Vietnam 1969-1970. Retired from US Army Reserves in 1981. Retired from TXU in 1992.

Air Force, 12 Years Combat Weather Forecaster USAF (2003-2015). Weather forecaster at 26 Operational Weather Squadron, Barksdale AFB, LA (2004-2007). Combat Weather Team with 2nd Infantry Division and forecaster for 3rd Military Intelligence, 4-2 Aviation Battalion, and 1-2 Aviation Battalion at United States Army Garrison Humphreys, Republic of Korea (2007-2009). Weather Forecaster & Tactical Equipment Trainer at 2 Operations Support Squadron Barksdale AFB, LA (2009-2011). First Term Airman Instructor at Barksdale AFB, LA (2011-2012). Combat Weather Team Non-Commission Officer in Charge at Apiay, South America (2012). Assistant Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge at 2 Operations Support Squadron at Barksdale AFB, LA (2012-2015). Medically Retired in September 2015 at the rank of Technical Sergeant from the United States Air Force. Currently living in Hope, AR with wife and daughter.

Army, 20+ Years Military Policeman. Currently deployed to Mosul, Iraq for 4th Combat Tour. Awards include 2 Bronze Star Medals
Shannon Reck Class of 1990
Coast Guard, 20+ Years Started off in the US Marine Corps as a machine gunner and transitioned to the US Coast Guard as a corpsman (medic) in 1992. It has been a fun ride thus far and I hope to continue with it for the foreseeable future.
