About Me	Graduated from Penn State in 1972 and started grad school that fall. After one year ran out of funds so went to work at Taylor Wharton(no longer there) in Easton helping make steel bottles in their foundry. Best incentive to complete ones education. Returned to Penn State and finished my coursework. Then back to Taylor Wharton while job hunting. In 1975 was hired by the Pennsylvania State Park system. Worked in Bedford for a year, finished my thesis and graduated again from Penn State. Transferred to the Nolde Forest Environmental Education Center near Reading in 1976 as the program coordinator. In 1981 became manager of the site. Enjoyed working in state parks as I got to combine my love of teaching with my love for the outdoors. After 35 years(they went really fast) retired in 2010. Riding the coattails of my veterinarian wife, we migrated to New Zealand in 2010. Seemed really far away...an...(read more)
