Joined the Army after grad. june 63' basic at FT. Polk LA, joined 1/10th inf 5th meck Div. at Ft Carson Colo, joined 2/28inf 1st Inf Div Ft Riley Kan, Shipped to Vietnam Sept 1965 stat. at vill of LaiKhe north of Saigon. Spent a lot of time in the "Iron Triangle" by the Cambodion border. Discharged at Oakland Terminal June 1966.(glad to be alive and home). 3yrs Army Reseve and then Joined det1 MP plt 45th Div 1974(tulsa) stayed a year and rejoined the 45th in Dec. 1983 with COA 279th Inf (tulsa) retiring in 1999 as company first sgt. What a Ride!! No regrets!!
