John was one of my best friends during high school and university. Had lost touch with him for the past 30 years.
John Larson, 57, died October 2, 2011 in Concord with his family at his side. He was born on March 15, 1954 in St. Paul, MN to Kenneth and Patricia Larson and moved to California in 1979. John worked as a machinist with Chevron for 32 years. John was an avid reader of military history, enjoyed home improvement projects, and loved making time for his family. The thing he loved most was going to Disneyland, to him that was the perfect vacation.

John is survived by his wife of 29 years, Patti Larson and his children Kyle, Steve, Bonnie, and Hannah Larson; his parents, Kenneth and Patricia Larson; siblings, Jeffrey Larson and sister-in-law Debbie, Julie McIntyre and brother-in-law Dan and sister-in-law Patricia Larson. Many nieces and nephews also survive him. His brother, David Larson, preceded him in death.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00PM, Sunday, October 16, 2011 at Ouimet Bros. Concord Funeral Chapel, 4125 Clayton Road, Concord, CA.
