- Currently serves as Medical Director for the city of Odessa, Texas
- Has practiced in various institutions from the busiest trauma centers to underserved community hospitals

2) EDUCATOR
- Associate Professor University of Illinois and has held faculty positions at University of Texas and Texas A&M University
- Author of leading 600+ page textbook in the field of emergency medicine
- International lecturer on health care topics including a keynote lecture with Barack Obama, Oxford University, Johns Hopkins, etc
- Medical correspondent with appearances on CNN, MSNBC, Washington Post, LA Times, and a weekly CBS segment which discusses medical personal and health issues

3) VETERAN (IRAQ WAR)
- Former Major in US Army
- Served one of the longest combat tours by a physician since World War II
