Dean L. Bresciani
Class of 1977
The North Dakota State Board of Higher Education named Dean L. Bresciani, former vice president for student affairs at Texas A&M University as 14th president of North Dakota State University. The Board offered a three-year contract, beginning June 15, and a salary of $300,000 per year.
The State Board interviewed three candidates today. The other two finalists were Gary Miller, provost and vice president for academic affairs and research at Wichita State University; and John Gardner, vice president for economic development and global engagement at Washington State University.
On May 13, the NDSU Presidential Search Committee selected three candidates to forward to the State Board of Higher Education. The committee was charged with providing the State Board of Higher Education at least three unranked candidates for the board's consideration. The committee received 29 applications and nominations.
