About Me	Because I like reading stories about people I've known in the past, I have decided to post my story in case anyone is interested. I had no clue what I wanted to do with my life after high school. I tried trade school, then Angelina Community College -- I earned two Associate degrees and graduated with honors. Shortly afterwards I went to Dallas to start my life. I was hired on my first job interview and I was released from the position one week later because I had no practical experience. So I joined the Army to get the experience I needed. I ended up training as a photojournalist and spent nearly 6 years in the military. --- First stationed at Fort Knox, KY and then Schofield Barracks, HI. I also spent a month in the DC area while taking intermediate courses. While in the Army, I went white water rafting, spelunking (cave exploring), rappelling, and mountain climbing. I traveled to Japan twice and Thailand for an entire month. I have hundreds of stories and experiences. On the negative side, while I was stationed in Hawaii, I was poisoned with nuclear chemical waste and diagnosed with cancer in 1999. I was medically discharged in 2000. After the Army, the VA sent me through vocational rehabilitation and I earned a Bachelor's degree in Photography. Unfortunately, my medical problems got worse and I became 100% disabled a few years later. With therapy and meds (and alternative therapies and supplements), I live a semi-normal life. I bought a smaller Class C RV after getting out of the Army and have had the pleasure of traveling around the United States for about 8 months. I've also traveled for shorter distances and times.
