J. Judson Lacko
Class of 1961 has just published his first novel.
"A Breath Away Life's Final Chapter"
In the midst of the world's uncertainty of the 1960s, a boy and a
girl meet and fall in love. They both learn that rather than wait until a storm stops, you should learn to dance in the rain. Together, over fifty years, they find that their lives, their dreams, the love they share, and their future are always just a breath away.
Most of you will remember Jud was the Drum Major for our high school band.
The book is available at Amazon.com and Barns & Noble.
Launch for Novel about the 1892 Homestead Strike
The launch for Trilby Busch's ('61) novel, "Darkness Visible: A Novel of the 1892 Homestead Strike" is set for Saturday, March 17th, at the Bost Building, 623 E. Eighth Ave., Homestead. Munhall alums are invited to stop by and learn more about this imaginative recreation of the infamous Battle of Homestead, 6 July, 1892. After the launch, the book will be available at the Rivers of Steel shop in the Bost Building, on the novel's website, DarknessVisibleNovel.com, and through amazon.com
Trilby is the daughter of G. Edward Busch, who taught at Woodlawn School and Munhall High School.
John Vinay- Class of 1961
It has been brought to our attention that John Vinay, from that class of 1961, age 67 has terminal cancer, and will probably not make it to our 50th reunion in August. He would appreciate cards and letters to his home address in Munhall.
It is John Vinay
19-C Longfellow Dr.
Munhall, Pa. 15120
Thank You.
THE CLASS OF 1954
I realize this is a "late in life" attempt, but if I have lived this long, where are the rest of my class? Don't tell me that Ms. Ada B. Widowson (algebra) scared you all off!
As in the previous posting by a member of 1968, why not try and communicate.
Give it a shot, even if it is your last!!
The class of '68???
What has happened to the class of '68? I realize I haven't followed my class, but, hey, we are now around 57 years old now. I believe we have survived almost anything of the 60's, 70's, '80's, '90's, and through the 2007's. How about our strength of survival during these days? We survived Vietnam, Pop-Shannon's spitballs, Mrs. Copenhaver's Literature class, etc. Why can't we survive a reunion with our class? I have survived divorce and remarried. I know a lot of you had to survive a lot through these days that we were never prepared to survive at Munhall High School. Let us make an effort to communicate. How about it?
