My daughter was born with a birth defect called congenital diaphragmatic hernia. It is a spontaneous birth defect in our case that occurs one in every 2500 births. Her diaphragm didn't completely form allowing her abdominal organs to float up into her chest, shifting her heart to the right and restricting her lung growth. She fought for 30 days and passed away after her little body could take no more. We are now involved in educating people about CDH.
