I served aboard the USS Caliente AO-53 (a WWII era fleet oiler) as a general ET, the USS Hamner DD-718 (a WWII era destroyer) as an ET specializing in radars, and the USS DACE SSN 607 (a Permit/Thresher class fast attack submarine). There I made E-6 in my 5th year in the Navy, qualified Submarines (got my dolphins in the North Atlantic at >400 ft down), qualifed as a Nuclear Reactor Operator/Technician and Engineering Watch Supervisor and became a Blue Nose north of the Arctic Circle.

served aboard uss forrestal cv59 uss seattle aoe3 and uss ajax ar6 , engineering, made it to E5, west pac, multiple med cruises, artic circle, caribean including cuba at quantanamo, indian ocean , suez canal, ya im well travelled, I hope you all get to leave hayward ,at least for a while , theres a big exciting world out there ya know !

Army, 3 Years
Served 1-1/2 years in Pleiku,, South Vietnam as a clerk typist for the CID investigations unit, 4th Infantry Division. Also spent time at Fort Ord, CA and Fort Lewis, WA. I darned the Bronze Star Medal, the Vietnam Campaigin Ribbon and was honorably discharged as a disabled veteran.
