About	Mrs. Kathryn Loomis Crepeau, age 59, of Cherrybrook Lane, Boone, died Sunday evening, February 3, 2008 at Watauga Medical Center. Born December 12, 1948 in Bethesda, Maryland, she was a daughter of the late Floyd Loomis and Joy Smith Loomis. Kathryn taught English at Mt. Carmel High School in San Diego, California for twenty-two years. She also taught at English at Caldwell Community College and Freshmen Seminars at Appalachian State University. She was a member of the ASU Women's Evening Book Club. Surviving are her husband; Richard Crepeau, one daughter, Laurel Crepeau both of Boone, her mother; Joy S. Loomis of Campbell, California, one sister, Lael Wojno of Los Gatos, California, six nieces and four nephews. A gathering for the celebration of the life of Kathryn Loomis Crepeau will be held Tuesday, February 12, 2008 from 6 o'clock until 7:30 at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Seby B. Jones Regional Cancer Center, Post Office Box 2580, Boone, NC 28607.
