| About Me | Realized how much I used & manipulated people for my own selfish & self centered reasons. Drank too much for far too long. Tried to remain in a perpetual state of numb to avoid having to confront my own self doubts & fears. Treated people poorly. Discovered I was an asshole; discovered I quite liked being a self servicing asshole. Realized this does have a negative affect to personal relationships. Almost worked hard on not recognizing or validating others feelings. Just a rather self destructive person for a while. Felt as though I almost lived at Pine Street Theater for a few years. Attended some school to try & find a direction. Traveled, went to Alaska. Then traveled some more. Lived with three incredible women that I never fully appreciated. This led to no marriages, no engagements, but best of all, no children. Corrupt as my morals could have been, still believed in somewhat of a stable family unit. Lived in Minneapolis for almost ten years to the day. Bought my first home, sold my first home. Made a 44% ROI in only five years in said house. Not bad during a market crash recovery. That was the first time I ever subscribed to the buy low/ sell high theory. Investments work out much better that way. Work in a corporate cubical for almost 19 years. 18 of those were probably far too long. But I found some direction, realized I was not meant for the corporate world. Since then I have walked away from everything I once new & now am embarking on a new adventure for the next phase of life. Happy, content, curious, mindful, excited & looking forward to what comes with the next phase. Wood carving / turning, cobbling, watch repair, writing, photography, painting, playing music & finally achieving one book per week; and I mean something challenging. No teen love stories about dragons, dwarves & vampires or zombies... oops, well, g...(read more) |
