About	Rudy was one of the first mount Vernon high school basketball players who helped to continue the rich basketball tradition that existed at Davis and Edison high schools before the two schools merged together and became Mount Vernon High School. He received a full basketball scholarship at New York Insitute of Technology in Manhattan , New York where he excelled.He was drafted to play in the American Basketball Association. He later played professionally in France where he was a All-Star player for many years. He was also an outstanding artist (painter) and had his art work exhibited in mount Vernon at the legendary Association of Community Based Artists of Westchester,Inc., Ac-Baw Center For The Arts gallery. He also had the honor of having his mount Vernon high school basketball jersey retired and hung in the gym to remember his basketball contributions.
