The Passing of one of the original staff member of MRCI - Gerald William Mitchinson (A.K.A. -"Mitch"). He died November 2, 2025.

"Mitch" as he was referred to by students and colleagues grew up in Sutherland in east Saskatoon. An older brother, Harold, flew with the RAF in WW II and following the war, he established a Flying School in Saskatoon. Young Gerry was an early student who distinguished himself by obtaining his pilot's license . He was the youngest pilot youngest pilot of have his first solo flight at the afe of 13. Gerry went on to obtain a Master's Degree in Economics and Political Science. He was hired to reach Senior English when Mount Royal opened its doors. Mitch was a very popular member of the staff and he quickly made his mark as a superior teacher.
