| About Me | I attended U of W, Premed, where I grew the largest alum crystal in chemistry class! I trained there in ballet for 5 years while working full time. I married Jeanine Passmore in '74 we had two children, a boy and a girl. Jeanine had many successful ballet and dance programs in the Seattle area. We moved to Minnesota in 1989, bought 160 acres and a house and later bought another property with 240 acres, where we raised Arabian Horses and Scottish Highland cattle. I developed one of the nations best Ag sites once receiving as many as 60,000 hits per week! We developed sustainable Ag Concepts and finally a recreated Aurochs concept beef we named Diarmid cattle, ( See Cis Van Vuure's Book Aurochs Morphology and Ecology of and Extinct OX.). I developed the concept of the grave side CD player, the name of the Toyota Highlander was my concept. I worked in the medical field at local hospitals in Seattle but had to find more money in the trades as a Journeyman Painter Local 300 until we moved to Minnesota and began our Ranching operations. Jeanine is our success story, she received her PhD in Nursing in 2008. She did this the hard way while working full time at Red Lake Indian Nation, building on her nursing skills from LPN to PhD 1991 to 2008.She also completed her U of W business degree. Over the years I have had a personal battle with hearing problems which have required an extraordinary number of surgeries. In 1999 a tumor took my balance and bones of hearing. I am unusual having improved hearing without bones of hearing and after 10 years have reclaimed much of my balance. We are happy to see our children graduating from University and finding what we consider good occupations in the real life. We have always attempted to contribute to our communities and the body of knowledge in our endeavors, now as we age we hope to do some traveling and I am restoring old cars and motor cycles, now we have sold the cows and horses. I have taken skills in 4-H and developed breeding stock and shown at The Denver Nationals twice. We have demonstrated Sustainable Ag Concepts at Market Place of Ideas, N.D. We have had two governors ride our bulls and have media pictures taken, we were present as Babe the Blue Ox for the US stamp presentation 1995 at Bemidji Mn. and have taken live bulls and cows into classrooms. We were picture of the year 1995 and most requested reprint Pioneer paper, Bemidji Mn. I am the first importer of the Breed Bazadaise to the United States. While its been a long time since we lived in Des Moines our memories of Mt. Rainier HS and the area continue to be part of what we are and who we became.
