So many memories! I was in JROTC, most of my friends were from all different class years 79 - 82. I remember homecoming days and watching football games. Mrs. Denton for English Lit, was my favorite teacher. One year Monte Vista HS, decapitated our Matador in the lower quad. It was payback for stealing their mascot. I remember how open the campus was, free to come and go. There weren’t school shootings but pranks were always funny. The teacher for shop class had his VW disassembled and put on the roof of shop! I remember the MM Band marching in the Rose Bowl Parade! I recently moved to Tennessee from Hawaii and the last time I was in Spring Valley the freeway was above the school so I couldn’t see it.
