About	Debra “Deb” Lynn Smith, 56, of Mt. Gilead passed away Tuesday May 3, 2011 at Partners Rehab Center in Marion following a courageous battle of a lengthy illness. She was born in Morrow County on June 10, 1954. She was the daughter of the late Don C. and Leah (Robinson) Bader. She married Roger D. Smith on May 24, 1975 at the Berean Baptist Church in Marion officiated by Rev. Charles Reed in the first wedding at the new church. Deb was a 1973 graduate of Mt. Gilead High School. She worked at several jobs, but her true passion was her devotion to her children. A strong-willed individual, but had compassion when needed. She loved her pets (cat & birds) and never missed an opportunity to ask people about their animals; sharing her artistic ability with many people in her earlier years through ceramics and painting. She is survived by her husband Roger of over 35 years of marriage; a son Matthew Smith of Delaware, OH; a daughter Amber Smith of Richmond, VA; sisters Diane (George) Dix of Hillsboro and Denise Yeagley of Columbus; and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her family. Deb is preceded in death by her parents; a brother Don Lee Bader and nephew Keith Dix.
