| About Me | In 2015 I released my award-winning historical fiction book, Courageous Footsteps: A WWII Novel. Then in 2016 I released the sequel,Yasu's Quest: A Tale of Triumph. Readers inspired me to write the third book in the series. On Liberty's Wings: A Post-WWII Novel will be released October 2017.Books are available in Kindle and paperback on Amazon. Also online at Barnes & Noble.In 2011 I published my memoir, Twenty-Eight Snow Angels A Widow's Story of Love, Loss and Renewal. Available on Amazon. I've also written articles for the national Women's Voices for Change in New York City. I coauthored a book with my aunt, Miriam Daughter of Finnish Immigrants, which I am currently marketing and can be purchased on Amazon. I was an elementary teacher in the St. Paul Public schools and also a staff development literacy trainer. I taught classes at St. Thomas and the University of River Falls.
