Stan Mosley
Class of 1968
Coast Guard, 4 Years
Four years active service from 1969-1973. My first trip of more than 250 miles was flying out to CA for boot camp. I spent 2 months in Seattle WA awaiting overseas transfer. I was bound for isolated duty on a LORAN station in Alaska. Detoured enroute to a Coast Guard Cutter in Sitka.
Enjoyed my time there; then spent a few months on the Great Lakes. Finised up in Charleston SC.
Good times; my first marriage, first and second child and really learned a lot about responsibility and work ethic.
