James Ervin Harrell, age 49, born on father's day, June 21, 1964, of Morristown, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville. James served his country well. He joined the Army on his 18th birthday, earning numerous service medals, including Army Commendation, Joint Service Achievement, Good Conduct Medal two times, Marksman Badges, and served in Desert Shield. He is survived by his parents, Robert and Alice Harrell; sisters, Sarah (Bob) Britt, Sue (Doug) Bales, and Lucille (Johnnie) Lawson; nephew, Jonathan Hurst; and niece, Christina Hurst Lawson. Family and friends will meet at 2 p.m. Monday, June 10 at Hamblen Memory Gardens for military graveside services with VFW Post 5266 officiating and interment with Rev. Dallas Harrell and Johnnie Lawson officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 ??" 7 p.m. Sunday, June 9 at the funeral home. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
