Retired E-7 in 1998; drafted in 1971; ten years in the infantry nine years as drug and mental health counselor.

Jay Erickson
Class of 1978
Navy, 20+ Years
Attended University of Colorado at Boulder on a Navy ROTC scholarship, then 7 years as a nuclear submarine officer during the Cold War. Attended USU School of Medicine and spent the rest of a 25 year career as a Navy Family Physician including one year in Western Al Anbar province as Regimental Surgeon with the 7th Marines during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Retired in 2008 and immigrated to New Zealand. It's been a wild ride!
