Favorite School Memory I'd like to say Playing in the School Band, going to Football games, but what with the almost nonexistent group of any real friends I had, I was happiest to graduate & get out. For example, I remember having a birthday party once, I think my 16th, I invited everyone I knew, practically the entire sophomore class. I asked all those I thought I could trust to come, whether they would be there, so my parents would have enough food. We held the party out at the park by the lake & hone...(read more)
About Me After leaving MCHS, worked locally for about a year & left Morgan City ending up in the San Francisco Bay area, where I learned to hand paint signs & screen print. Moved to Oregon studied Fine Art & Music at Portland State Univ. 2 yrs later moved to Rhode Island where started my own business hand painting signs & screen printing T-shirts. Lost the business. Studied more more Art in university focusing on Graphic art & photography while working in the campus photo dept. Also worked part time for music promoters & club owners as concert photographer. Aside all the fun bits, I always ended up working for a newspaper or publisher or printer. So I went back to school to study Electronic circuit design & Technical Illustration did allot of contract work for large multi-nationals including General Dynamics in Technical publications working on Trident Submarine contracts, Studied electronics & ended up at Analog Devices, doing more Technical publications. Moved back to San Francisco after 10 years & worked as screen printer & film stripper doing limited edition serigraphs & fine art reproductions. After too many years of breathing solvents & numerous dark room & cleaning chemicals associated with the print trade, I started working as an art director, letter press supervisor/operator and estimator in the printing business. Finally I met my wife & after 2 years we moved to Ireland to look after her mother, While working for a multi-national printing company in Dublin, I moved into I.T., Learning Unix systems & Oracle database administration & after a few more years and another move, this time to Galway, I began teaching I.T. systems for Dell, EMC & StorageTek, At the age of 50 my wife & I went to Ethiopia & adopted our 1st daughter. After 2 more years we went back & adopted our 2nd daughter. We built a house out in the country to raise the girls, where they attend a small 3 room school house in a very small country village. I'm now working in Qualit...(read more)
