New Book on Wynooche/Montesano written by MHS Grads

Dear MHS grads,
Darrel White and Bob Dick (MHS class of 64) have just received the first copies of their newly published book- Olympic Peninsula Memoirs "Skunk Cabbage and Chittum Bark" Sons of the Wynooche.
Skunk Cabbage and Chittum Bark is 270 plus pages of stories, reflections and descriptions of growing up in the Wynooche Valley. It includes a number of photos from the time and some original art work.
So far, those who have read “Skunk Cabbage and Chittum Bark” during its first 2 weeks of publication have indicated that they have thoroughly enjoyed the experience and have found themselves chuckling their way through its pages.
Anyone who grew up in Monte will certainly enjoy it as would those who know either of the authors. Each wrote vignettes in their own voice and the format of the book alternates between the two as they tell their personal stories.
