About Me	I've had a busy life since high school. I married Michael Mahoney (class of 73), and that survived for about four years. When we divorced, I went to work at Texas Tech in the Biology Dept. where I met Dr. Scott Holaday, and we married several years later. During that time, I returned to Texas Tech to complete my degree and earn a teaching certificate in all-level Art. Taught at Evans and Monterey for a year, and it was so cool to get to hang out in the lounge with people like Ms. Lorance and Zippy. Later I worked for UMC and St. Mary's as a perinatal educator. In 1999, Scott and I divorced, and I moved to San Diego where I owned a rock shop for several years. I taught at a charter school while I wrote my first book, which was released in May of 2009. People who believe you get rich on book royalties are wrong. Currently, as of 2015, I am a social media coordinator, writer, and editor, and I just received my TESOL credential, so I can teach English as a foreign language. I have been married to Chris Reimer for 14 years now, and we're raising a rotten Yorkie now that the kids are gone. I have a pink Vespa, which I ride anywhere I can, and I still have the same pickup Scott and I bought back in 1989 at Brunken Toyota. Having fallen in love with South Korea recently, am learning Korean, and I edit Korean-to-English drama subtitles for fun. When my friend goes to teach English in Seoul, I'm going with for the first month. I can hardly wait. The San Diego Comic-Con is something I anxiously anticipate all year long. I love the crowded building and all the fantastic costumes, and I have fun with cosplay myself. Two years ago my daughter and I went as Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn from Batman Arkham Asylum. It was so much fun! Scott Holaday and I have three children (2015): Ian (27) who I home-schooled through high school, lives in San Diego and graduated from UCSD with honors and a degree in film and media. He currently works part time for a marketing company, does freelance animation and digital media, and models on the side. It's mind-boggling to watch him create art on a computer. Tristan (25) graduated from the TTU Honors College with an Environment and Humanities degree, and he is currently the drummer for a Christian rock group called Climbing Blind (climbingblindmusic.com). Tristan is also training to be a Brazilian jiu-jitsu instructor and sometimes works for Joyful Noise Music Studio in Lubbock. Sarah (22) lived with me for several years in San Diego and returned to Lubbock to attend and later graduate from LHS. She is in her penultimate semester of studying psychology at Texas Tech. For her college job, Sarah works at the United Super Market on 82nd and Boston. She lives with two of her best friends in a house not too far from home. I feel like a spoiled brat getting to live by the ocean in Point Loma. It's wonderful, but sometimes I miss the flat openness of the South Plains.
