Fundraiser for Educational Grants to Monroe County Girls and Women

I am a MHS Alumni - Class of 1970 - and a proud member of a local women’s organization - Soroptimist International of Monroe County. We help local girls and women through partnering with other charitable organizations, but one mission we are proud of is to be able to award educational grants every year. This year we were fortunate to award $8,000 to local girls and women! I am the lead for a current fundraiser to help sustain our educational award coffer by selling “I’m COVID-19 Vaccinated” rubber wristbands for $5 each. ALL $$ will be kept within Soroptimist Int’l of Monroe County to continue to pay it forward to local girls and women. This effort is in NO WAY TO BE A POLITICAL MOVEMENT; this effort, in these most difficult and scary times with COVID and Delta variant, is to let others we interface with such as family, friends, co-workers, and even Alumni classmates at reunions know we are safe and care about their safety as well.
