About Me	After graduating from college, I spent over 20 years working in critical care and the emergency room both in Galesburg and in Florida. I moved to Florida in 1986 with my husband, Terry. In l989, I joined the Air Force Reserve as a flight nurse and deployed to the middle east in 1990 in support of Operation Desert Shield/Storm. After I returned, I took a job as a full time reservist and stayed in that position for 11 years, traveling to many places and enjoying many experiences I would otherwise never have had the opportunity to do. I would still be there today had it not been for a medical problem that prohibited me from being deployable. Not to be deterred, I did some mnagement consulting in the emergency department arena until I tired of all the travel. I was fortunate enough to find a job at the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office (which is the 5th largest sheriff's office in the country--over 3,000 employees) as their accreditaiton manager for both the law enforcement and corrections accreditations. My husband is a lieutenant at the same agency and we like that common ground.
