Veteran of World War II
Sgt. US Army - US Air Force
Inducted (drafted) into US Army at age of 18 (1944)--after basic training sent to the Phillipine Islands for 18 months, then
transferred to the 20th Air Force on the
island of Guam for training as a gunner on
a B-17 bomber preparing for the invasion
of Japan, after the war ended, discharged in October 1946.
