Dalyn Dunn
Class of 1980
Navy, 20+ Years
Joined the United States Navy one month after graduating from MCHS and am still in the Navy. I plan to retire August 2008 with 28+ years of military service. Besdies participating in the Gulf War, Falklands, and the current OEF/OIF, I have traveled all over the world on numerous occasions, seen and participated in various cultures and enjoyed every moment. Attached is a picture of an F-14 Tomcat launching from the flight deck of the USS Lincoln in the Mediteranean Sea. I spent almost 17 years of my Navy career working on various F-14 aircraft.

Fred Kingery
Class of 1961
Marine Corps, 18 Years
I graduated in May of 61. I reported to USMC Boot camp on the 28th, I rose to the rank of Sergeant. In June 65 I reported to Officer Candidate School. I was commisioned Oct. 65.
I made it to Captain, along the way I served with the 5th Mar. Regiment in Vietnam, spent 13 months at Defense Language Institute learning Chinese Mandarin that resulted in a BA in languages from Cal State. I completed a BS in systems management at National University, traveled around the world, retired from the Corps in 78, worked for most of the major Aerospace companies until 2009 when I was medically retired as a result of wounds suffered in VietNam.
We live in a small town, Lake City, Florida, with our two siamese cats, jack and jill, and our Maltese Muffy.

Our Moffat County High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done! Not everyone gets to come home for the holidays and we want our Moffat County High School Military to know that they are loved and appreciated.
