Air Force, 4 Years
Military Police at Edwards AFB, CA. I performed security and patrol duties. I was one of three airmen to lower the flag to half staff the day President Kennedy was assassinated. I also received a certificate from President Johnson for providing security during his visit to Edwards.

Joel M. Tejeda

Navy, 20+ Years
Retired and relocated with wife and kids to the Midwest after 22 years of active duty ... Serving gave me the opportunity to visit 14 countries (which I wouldn't had if I didn't enlist) ... Blue Nose and Shell Back initiated ... Worked as a DP (Data Processor) which was converted to RM (Radioman) then converted to IT (Information Systems Tech) ... ESWS qualified ... working full-time presently and running marathons.
Bucket list items for me is to visit the Great Wall of China and Vatican City.

462 Weapons loading on F-100D/F aircraft and F-4D
Station at Cannon AFB NM then Phu Cat AB first tour and Phan Rang AB second tour. Then back to Holloman AFB NM.
1979 join the Army National Guard as a 54B decon specialist. Stayed for 18 years and retired as a First Sergeant. We deployed to South Korea twice (coldest place I have ever been) and Italy.

I served one tour in Iraq 2007-2008. I was assigned to the 1/184 Infantry Battalion HHC out of Modesto. I Deployed with the 1/143 Field Artillery. I was a Gunner/Driver. My youngest son was born while I was deployed. He was a almost 3 months old when I came home and held him the first time.
