About Me After graduating from Mission San Jose High School, I took a nontraditional path filled with real-world experience, creative projects, and community service. I’ve worked in radio, marketing, and home healthcare. I’ve helped build programs, produce events, train others, and support families across the Bay Area. Most recently, I earned two Associate Degrees in Communication Studies with Honors from Ohlone College and served as both a communications tutor and lab intern, where I supported students and led workshops. I also received four certificates of completion and graduated with a 3.4 GPA — all while raising a family, working, and surviving a pandemic. I currently serve as the Admin Manager for Right at Home – Peninsula, where I oversee payroll, vendor reimbursements, HR systems, and client operations. In this role, I also help ensure compassionate care is delivered to seniors and people with disabilities every day. Outside of work, I’m an independent author and creative storyteller, having published books that explore Gen X culture, Latino heroes, and the legacy of Raider Nation. My titles include: • 10 CDs for a Penny: Growing Up Gen X with Bruises, Burnt Pop-Tarts, and Zero Therapy • One Nation: The Untold Story of Raider Nation • ¡Viva los Sueños! Volumes 1 and 2 I’ve also launched my own publishing imprint, Joker and the Queen Publishing, and manage PulsePodcast.co...(read more)
