| About Me | Starting to feel older (kind of weird since I don't think I am that old) - but remember when 40+ seemed ancient. I am pretty much a social person by nature, though my need for solitude has increased over the past 10 years. I am a Christian first and foremost (though don't always act like it - thankfully God is merciful). I was saved back in 1978 after the tragic death of one of my high school friends Bill Poe. He was a Christian and his funeral was a stark contrast to a funeral I had attended for my brother's wife previously that year. Opened my eyes to how fragile life is, and how complex the universe and life is (I always believed in God, just didn't know enough about Him). What has been most interesting is my growth throughout the past 30 years (3 steps forward, 2 steps back) - but I have never lost my faith in Christ, even through very difficult times.
