About Me	I serve as the Special Projects Manager for the City of Alton with over 35 years experience in the health and fitness industry, recreation, special events planning as well as extensive experience in the performing arts. I graduated from Mission High School, attended Pan American University, received state certification in Recreational Activities from St. Phillips College in San Antonio and completed my studies in the performing arts from the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona while traveling and performing with the international world renowned performing arts group “Up With People”! Up with People is a global education organization which aims to bring the world together through service and music. The unique combination of international travel, service learning, leadership development and performing arts offers students an unparalleled experience and a pathway to make a difference in the world, one community at a time. Having lived and traveled throughout 8 countries around the world and 28 states here in the united states - I call Alton, TX home where I manage the family 10 acre ranch known as “Mercado Texas Ranch” a place where family and friends gather for celebrating life.
